Business Showcase will be held at W.L. Jack Howard Theater Foyer from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.
Please remember to register through the BPW website for the Business Showcase. Any phone calls regarding registration won’t be accepted. General Admission is free for BPW members. If you would like to be a vendor, the cost is $25. We will need volunteers to assist with decorations, setting up the refreshments and hospitality. Camp BPW will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints Activity Building located on 909 North 33rd St., Monroe, LA 71201 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Please share this information and hve them register online. (see attached) Volunteers are needed as chaperones, registration, and lunch prep. All BPW volunteers will need to arrive at 8:00 am. - 1. MEMBER OF THE YEAR NOMINATION – DEADLINE OCTOBER 15, 2025:

The BPW Monroe/West Monroe Outstanding Member Award recognizes an exceptional member for their dedication and contributions to both the local BPW organization and the broader community. This honor is awarded annually during National Business Women’s Week.
Nomination Eligibility and Process:
- Any member in good standing may nominate a candidate for this award.
- Nominations must be submitted as a written summary.
- The written nomination summary must not exceed two typed pages.
- The nominee’s name should not appear in the summary itself but must be included in a cover letter attached to the nomination.
- The deadline for submitting nominations is October 15, 2025.
- All nominees’ names will be announced at the National Business Women’s Week Showcase.
Selection Criteria:
- The nominee must have been an active member of the Monroe/West Monroe BPW local organization for at least three consecutive years.
- Active participation and meaningful contributions to local programs and activities are required. Involvement at the district, state, or national level is highly encouraged.
- The nominee must have served on one or more local committees.
- Demonstrated leadership development through opportunities within the Monroe/West Monroe BPW and community engagement are essential.
- The candidate should have supported and promoted the club’s goals and objectives.
- The nominee must have represented Monroe/West Monroe BPW in a positive manner.
- Support and involvement in legislative programs at the local, state, and national levels are important.
- Participation in and contributions to church, civic, or other organizations are considered.
- The nominee should have shown character and achieved success in their professional career.
Selection Process:
- The Local Board of Directors selects the award recipient. All decisions made by the Board are final.
- 2. Sustainability Fees Due:
Sustainability fees are supplementary charges implemented to support BPW organizations' programs and operations. This strategy encourages members to contribute to the organization's objectives, ensuring their financial support directly benefits the community. The collection of sustainability fees reflects commitment to purposeful action; it prioritizes not only fiscal responsibility but also the provision of valuable services, such as scholarships, which foster the development of future leaders.
- 3. BPW Membership Renewals Due – Growth Opportunities:
Renewal reminders are going out via email. If you haven’t renewed your membership, please do so. Also, spread the word “Grow with Us”. As you meet people on a day-to-day basis, share BPW with them. We welcome new members. Review our history and mission. If you need brochures, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re Rooted in Purpose – Rising with Power!
